Blessings everyone and happy September! I pray all is well. This is Ovarian Cancer Awareness Month and as most of you know by now, I am an advocate as I help people become educated about this cancer and also talk to those who will listen (and even those who won’t listen) as to why we need accurate testing, for insurance companies to not fight patients, their caregivers or families, for better treatments which is what everyone wants across the board, less misdiagnosis, for this cancer to be caught more quickly and of course a cure.
Here is a video that I recorded the other year that got a lot of attention. This is my story as to why I’m an advocate and what led me to writing my poetry book, “Crying Tears of Teal.”
Stay tuned for more posts this month and if there is anybody who does podcasts, shows, etc and would love to have me as a guest to talk about ovarian cancer awareness, please reach out to me here.
Also, with my posts you will see that I’m supporting a certain organization, I’m going to highlight different chapters of the National Ovarian Cancer Coalition this month, highlight SHARE Support and others. Today I’m highlighting the Central Maryland Chapter of NOCC. Check them out and click the pic below or here to donate to their chapter as well!
Peace and love.
