When Scheduling Goes Wrong

Lyme Disease Post: When Scheduling Goes Wrong!
Hi everyone, the video says enough of what I went through with my anticipated visit to see the neuro ophthalmologist. There’s still a lot of miseducation out there and long story short, I’ve been waiting two and a half months for this appointment and only because I got in early due to a cancellation. Just to get there and the doctor realizes after reading through the notes that the scheduler did not do their job right. When scheduling goes wrong, and people assume that just because you have “neuro” in the title of what you do means that you can handle everything with neurology including neuro-ophthalmology which takes a whole different set of training and education as we know.

So please watch the video, I know I’m not alone in this, which makes it even worse because unfortunately I’ve been to other doctors in my past where they were the wrong doctors to go to, or you go to a doctor and even though they might be the right one they don’t want to see you or brush you off because of your diagnosis OR like last week where the scheduler booked you for an appointment with a doctor that does not even do this.On days like this I must decompress, pray, and look at as many positives as possible. But best believe, I will be sending off some emails and writing letters to this Health system here in Northern Virginia because I need them to do a whole lot better! This is not my first run in with them.Be well…stay safe and thank you for watching. Lyme Disease Awareness Month Post: Procedures, Tests and Labs…

Lyme Disease Awareness Month Post: Procedures, Tests and Labs…

Blessings everyone. Praying all is well. I wanted to stop by as I decided to do another video based on another appointment I had. I finally got an overdue CT scan.
.
With Lyme comes things like swollen/inflamed lymph nodes, inflammation in various parts of the body, etc and it requires those areas to be looked at more closely to see what’s going on. Also, I talk a little bit about the journey of labs, IV’s and more.
.
Check out the video and please like and share. My goal is to educate and advocate as many as I can through my journey, what I’ve learned from other Lyme Warriors, trusted practitioners, research, etc.
.
Be well and stay blessed.

Lyme Disease Awareness Month: Flared Symptoms

This is Lyme Disease Awareness month, this video was from a couple of days ago, but wanted to stop by and let folks know about how many of us battling Lyme who are still dealing with some symptoms like myself have our great days, good, bad and flat out awful.

Monday was an awful day, and you’ll see in the video what a day in the life can be like. One day you’re feeling good, next day…flat on your back…or in my case…a spinning room due to vertigo. It was a flare, but I have not had this symptom this bad since the early stages of Lyme years ago.
.
I didn’t post for sympathy…but for awareness. For those deep in the battle of Lyme where they are bed ridden, suffering from a multitude of symptoms a day, not feeling heard…my deepest prayers to you, your families, loved ones and friends.
.
Stay tuned for more Lyme disease awareness posts. 💚
